FKS1 Contact point 

 ‘SAVE A LIFE FKS1’ is a Class A1 contact point for protection at work in accordance with the EN Standard for catching systems, rescue systems, restraint systems.

Detailed description

Patented functionality    In neutral position, the buckle is folded in,
and activated by folding out. 

 

Dynamic Anchorage point Only the one anchorage point frome MARK SAVE A LIFE-FKS1 works dynamic:
By a strength over 300 kg the piton change his shape and a lot of energy goes in the piton and not in the harnes of the user. 

 

Mounting      

The device is mounted horizontally; it may also be mounted above the head in exceptional cases; for mounting in brickwork or concrete, Würth WIT-VM 200 composite mortar must be used; for mounting in wood, 10/120 wood screws are required. 

 

Production, material
and supply security
All components – with the exception of the mounting devices – are deep-drawn exclusively at MARK Metallwarenfabrik in Spital am Pyhrn in Austria. This guarantees a constant high quality and supply security. All relevant components are made of STAINLESS STEEL 1.4301, with the steel parts being polished, cleaned and coated with a special dip, meeting the highest requirements of the automotive industry.

Simple inspection      

Pursuant to §151(1) BauV (see further below) – inspections of contact devices are to be carried out by qualified persons at least once a year.

Who is allowed to carry out inspections?
Pursuant to §151(1) BauV, the visual inspection of the SAVE A LIFE-FKS1 can be carried out by every suitable and competent person, also by employees of the company.
External inspection organs are not necessary.
Affixing of test loads ist not necessary.

How is the inspection carried out ?
Check the ease of motion of buckle: if buckle has an easy motion: Everything OK!
If buckle is deformed and consequently stiff: Contact point has been overburdened and the SAVE A LIFE-FKS1 must be replaced.Check the subsurface for cracks and deformations; if it is loose or deformed, consult a structural engineer.

Legal text:Building regulations, §151(1)
Factory equipments, other mechanical equipments, manufacturing equipments and items of personal protective equipment, for which Chapter I or II Inspections of their proper condition are provided for, shall only be used if these inspections have been carried out and if flaws detected during the inspection have been eliminated. The inspections shall be carried out by civil engineers of the subject area coming into consideration for the purpose, by competent organs of the Association for Technical Inspection or by any other person being suitable, competent and authorised for carrying out such inspections.
